we need Him

Fact: Hard times where we blame God is usually when we need Him the most.
Whenever something bad happens a majority of people tend to blame God.
God why are you doing this to me? Don't you want me to be happy? You have the power to stop this.
But tonight at youth Adam ( http://onetruepath.tumblr.com/ ) had a very nice point,
God does not allow these types of situations because He wants us to hurt, it is because He knows we can handle it. God will never give us more than we can handle (Another fact).
Now back to my first point, When we are going through these times we need Gods guidance and help! If something good were to happen are we going to thank the devil? No. Then why do we blame God for whenever  something bad is happening? Think about it.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

" Don't tell God how big your problem is,
Tell your problem how big your God is."

Always.

Isn't it remarkable that no matter how much we sin and go against God, He still loves us and wants us to be with Him. He waits for us. He wants us. He loves us.
Our God is a forgiving and clearly patient God. Any human would have given up on us, would have gotten angry and frustrated with us and gotten rid of us, admit it.. you probably would have.
But God is with us always.

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified
because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you;
he will never leave you nor forsake you.
Deuteronomy 31:5, 6

Keep your lives free from the love of money
and be content with what you have, because God has said,
"Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."
Hebrews 13:5

Yet I am always with you;
you hold me by my right hand.
You guide me with your counsel,
and afterward you will take me into glory.
Psalm 73:23, 24

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father
and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.
And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
Matthew 28:19, 20

In my integrity you uphold me
and set me in your presence forever.
Psalm 41:12

Where can I go from your Spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?
If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,
even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast.
Psalm 139

Put on the Shoes

By: Ryan Bove

Criticism,
Ridicule,
Put-downs,
Rude comments,
Sarcastic remarks,
The joke of every day,
The laughingstock of the grade,
Embarrassed,
Degraded,
Disgraced,
Humiliated,
Mistreated,
Misunderstood,
She is thought of as second-class,
And no good.
A stranger,
A loner,
An outcast,
An outsider,
Left out,
They laugh at her.
They snicker behind her back.
She is defenseless,
Under verbal attack.
Why can't they see,
That she is the same as you and me?
Is it because they misunderstand,
The problem at hand?
How would they feel,
To be laughed at?
Why can't they see her for who she is,
Instead of who she is not?
If they could only put themselves in her shoes,
Then they might stop.

Can you lose salvation?

Some groups of people believe that salvation can be lost and others do not.. which one are you?
Some say that when you become a child of God that you are now always going to be a child of God and I would be one of those people.
Kayla, a girl in my sunday school class made a great analogy when she said that when you sin its like adding a brick to the wall between you and God.
But when it really comes down to it no matter how high you build that wall God is always willing to look over it. Now once you really recieve salvation would you even want to lose that?
I would think that you would actually go through great strengths to keep it. Some people tend to get lost or lose sight but most of the time they gain sight again and come back.

Matthew 24:36-44

Matthew 24:36-44 (New International Version)

The Day and Hour Unknown
36 “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son,[a] but only the Father. 37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 40 Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.    42 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. 43 But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. 44 So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.

May 21st? Say what?

Apparently May 21, 2011 is Judgment Day, and October 21, 2011 is the end of the world.
Well, according to the Bible and the book of Daniel no one can know when these days are!

He replied, “Go your way, Daniel, because the words are rolled up and sealed until the time of the end. (Daniel 12:9)

So what is all this jibber jabber?

What is love?

Baby don't hurt me, don't hurt me no more..
Just kidding, this isn't about the song! It's a legit question. What is love?
Well God is love (1 John 4:8).

Gods love is very different from "Human love" though.

Gods love :
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. (1 Corinthians 13:4-7)

Human love :
Love is sometimes patient. love is usually kind. Love can envy, it boasts, and is proud. It can dishonor others, it ususally is self-seeking, its easily angered, it does keep records of wrongs. Love can delight in evil but will also rejoice with some truth. It usually protects, sometimes trusts, probably always hopes, and might presevere.
Harsh, but usually true.

John 3:16 says - For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

God never said "If you promise to love me I will send my son" or "Once you all stop sinning I will love you"
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)

* http://www.biblegateway.com/ <---  Where you can look up verses! :)

I'm a wreck.

Okay, so maybe I'm not exactly a wreck, but I do feel as if I am being drawn into that direction!
Why is it that I have such a hard time just giving my troubles to God? I know He is there with arms wide open wanting me to let go of these very, very stupid insecurities and annoyances. What has happened to my trust? What has happened to my confidence? Are they gone? Well, no, because I do trust and I do have confidence. (A lot of it at that). This specific situation has been "let go" on a number of occasions, but someone likes for me to need to go through the process repeatedly (The Devil's testing, right?) Well, I wont give in :):) Each time it does seem a bit harder to just let go of it, but I will succeed!

Happy !

You should always be smiling! Why? Because you have an amazing God who has gone through so much for you and loves you! Yes, you! God knows your story, God knows what you have been through, and God will always be there for you. Things may suck, and they might suck a lot, but hey, just think about it: You still have God... and ALWAYS will! God will never leave you, So SMILE and be happy! :):)

Just a rant..

How can one say they do not believe in God but at the same time be afriad of going to Hell?
Obviously this is a rhetorical question, but it does really stump me.
It's all one big package right? Believing in God = believing in Satan also, and the same goes for Heaven and Hell.
I really don't understand when someone says, "Well, I'm a good person, so God can't just send me to Hell if I dont believe in Him." (That's practically a direct quote)
Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the whole process of making your way back home to God all start with first proclaiming that you believe in Him, and also that you believe his only son Jesus Christ died on the cross for us?

*Has this happend to you? What have you said in return? comment :)

To be an alien, you appear weird and different. This is supposed to be, you are meant to stand out because you do not belong.. you ARE different.

You shouldn't live of the world but you also can not isolate yourself from it, who would then share the word of God?

You should always have integrity if you are going to be a christian on the inside you must also show it on the outside, your actions must follow your words. You cant talk the talk if you don't walk the walk.
