When I say “I am a Christian"

When I say “I am a Christian”, I am not shouting that “I am….clean living.
I’m whispering “I was lost, but now Im found and forgiven.”
When I say “I am a Christian” I don’t speak of this with pride.
I’m confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.
When I say “I am a Christian” I’m not trying to be strong.
I’m professing that Im weak and need His strength to carry on.
When I say “I am a Christian” I’m not bragging of success.
I’m admitting I have failed and God’s help to clean my mess
When I say “I am a Christian” I’m not claiming to be perfect.
My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it.
When I say “I am a Christian” I still feel the sting of pain.
I have me share of heartaches, so I call upon His name.
When I say “I am a Christian” I’m not holier than thou,
I’m just a simple sinner who is saved by God’s Good Grace!

Church

Today at the church I attend it was ''friend day'' which is when you are to bring a friend to church... duh... and our goal was 400 we had 390 (so close) but still awesome! Deffinatly worthy of praise! They showed an amazing video during service (whick if i can find i will post) and it made a great point.. there are many reason why people do not come to church and one may be that they weren't even invited! So don't wait until friend day, invite someone to church!

Chris Medina

Always there

I know I've probably said this so many times but God is always there.
Even when we turn away, ignore or just don't bother with Him he is still there.
I feel as if sometimes I get way to caught up in school and socializing that I sometimes just forget about God and that is never a good thing, but He is still there for me. This also brings me to feel guilt, why would God be so willing to have me... actually God is like longing to have us, yet I can just put other things before Him?

On that note.. I have just recently gotten my self an accountability partner!
An accountability partner is someone who helps keep you in line and your priorities straight.
They ask you about your relationship with God and where you are in it, about your Bible reading, and your alone time with God. I highly suggest everyone get them self one of these.

Ps. Grade 12 just started for me and I've got a lot to get in order so I'm assuming I will be pretty busy and not able to post too much.... not that a lot of people even read this... but just saying !

Integrity

Integrity is a concept of consistency of actions, values, methods, measures, principles, expectations, and outcomes. In ethics, integrity is regarded as the honesty and truthfulness or accuracy of one's actions. Integrity can be regarded as the opposite of hypocrisy.

May integrity and honesty protect me, for I put my hope in you. Psalm 25:21

Our Youth intern tonight spoke about "Character" and mainly what I got out of it was Integrity. Integrity basically means being the same on the outside as you are in the inside.. So your morals and values always apply. You act the same like all the time pretty much. So using Christianity as an example, it would mean to have the same principles at church as you do at school. This is really hard to do sometimes, I'm in high school and some kids can be pretty cruel but in my personal experience its been pretty smooth! I get made fun of and called some names, but that's what people do no matter what, if they don't do it because I'm a Christian they will just find something else to point out, so I'm very happy to be called a Jesus Freak because I defiantly do not take it as an insult. I don't hide the fact that I'm a Christian and I love talking to people about it. Mainly because I have just recently became a Christian so the majority of my friends are not Christians and I love that they always have questions! This isn't as easy for some people though but my small group leader read to us this story of a girl who was fun of "Jesus Freak Integrity" and one thing she had said something about only having an audience of one and instead of worrying of everyone else's impression of us we should just work on His.

CAMP

So I go to Roblin Youth, and every summer a teen camp runs.
I went last year and my experience there was hard to explain..
Things went down that really upset me and that is a story I don't want to get into but Spiritually I was moved.
Looking back I realize that most of the time I was trying to get the attention of the wrong person, but God gave me a little tap on the head and knocked some sense into me and I took everything I learned while I was there and what the speaker had to see and it is what helped me with my decision to become baptized.
Youth camp was in august last year and I was baptized that September.

Now youth camp is coming up again this year and I almost didn't get in... It may sound silly to some people but for me it's not just a camp, even if I've only been once. So when I heard that it may have been full and I might not be able to go I immediately prayed, and you know what..... I was second last to get in! I'm so excited and I know God is going to do some great things in that week of camp!

If you really wanna be a Rebel than read your Bible because no one is doing that!

The Lord's Prayer

Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be your name.

Your Kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven

Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins,
as we forgive those who sin against us.

Lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

For the kingdom,
the power and the glory are yours.
Now and for ever.
Amen.

Break down of The Lord's Prayer

Recognition anAcknowledgment and Adoration
*God will be done (read last post) and Guidance
The asking part of prayer (for what we NEED)
Asking for forgiveness,, Needed often
Asking for help and Deliverence.. to not be tempted
Acknowledgment and Glory
Agreeing

Psalm 96:2
Sing to the LORD, praise his name; proclaim his salvation day after day.

Two things..

One - Gods Will

Well, you can't change it... no matter how hard you try. JSYK
& It is how it is meant to be so you are going to have to accept that even though it's really hard too... I still don't completely, I still want things to go the way I planned... But I don't know whats up ahead and God has it all planned out. You have to have trust in God, and believe me when I say He knows what He's doing! He has it all under control!

Two - Prayer

So this Youth Sponsor this Thursday was talking about Prayer..
It's importance and how you have to have you heart in what you are saying because if you don't mean it there really was no point in the prayer.
I also really liked when he said.. "If you don't really pray just try this.. once you wake up just say 'Good Morning God' then maybe in the afternoon say 'Good Afternoon God' and in the evening and at night.. and there are four already.." And like I said in a past post.. about thanking God for well.... everything... Try to at least include a few of those in your prayers.

Another Rant

When I first became a Christian I was like crazy full out praying all the time, only listening to worship music, just non stop praising God. Now I don't as often, Like I still do just not often.
I've prayed about it and want it to go back to how it was I just havn't made it happen.
For a bit I thought it was because..
God knows I'm legit now, I don't have to prove myself as much..
PFT! God doesn't only enjoy us showing our love for Him but He beyond deserves at least that!
& Never should we stop, there isn't a limit for it.. "Oh I prayed last week so it's okay if I don't this week"
We should be constantly showing our love for God.
Now I'm deffinatly not saying that I don't pray and stuff any more because I'm pushing away from God,
but when you stop you begin to feel a drift and to just get back into it to long enough to pull you back in and then begin to drift again is completely pointless.
After all of this jibber jabber my main point is.. I prayed to God asking Him why I've "drifted" and expected Him to fix it for me.
It's my fault this is happening, and It's for me to fix. Plus, it's not like its hard. I love to pray and listen to worship music, I just don't often. Its up to me to do so more often.

Watched this and cried, It is AMAZING what God has done for us.
He gave us life, we turned our backs on Him yet he still wants us so badly to be with Him in the end.

Gods Grace

On April 16, 2010 , Someone had said to me

"I'll pray my heart out for you :)
No one is beyond Gods grace, NO ONE"

And that is the message that changed my life.
That was all it took! This person saw that I was clearly not right with God and began talking to me about it.
Now thanks to that one person (& God of course) I have been a Christian for over a year.

Imagine if we all took time to listen to peoples stories and show them Gods grace..
How many people would we save?
Is it really that hard?
